Outdoor Recreation

The Bridger-Teton National Forest dominates western Wyoming and offers an amazing diversity of uses. With over 1,300 mountain lakes and most of the state’s tallest peaks, the possibilities are endless. The relative remoteness of the area ensures uncrowded trails, quiet meadows and pristine waters. Hiking and horseback riding are the most popular ways to access adventure, but boating, skiing, snowmobiling and bicycling are great alternatives.
